Survivor: Pic Macaya is the second season of Bennett's Survivor series. It began on March 2nd, 2015 and ended on March 25th, 2015. It the smallest cast size to date, beginning with just fourteen castaways.
After entering the merge at a numbers disadvantage, the three remaining members of Bouyaha were able to turn the tables by exposing the cracks of the Montrouis majority. In the end, DallasAndrew beat LaFierceBrittany2 in a 3-2 vote due to being perceived as the more loyal of the two.
Production
Survivor: Pic Macaya began with fourteen Tengaged users. The season was initially going to begin with sixteen, but multiple applicants dropped out just before the premiere. The inclusion of two returnees from Islands of Society was considered, but ultimately decided against. The fourteen new castaways were divided into two tribes: Bouyaha, in indigo, and Montrouis, in marron. They are named after two rivers located in Haiti. On Day 12, both tribes' remaining members merged into Kouraj, in green buffs. Kouraj, named by awwsum11, translates to "strength" in Haitian.
Twists
- Observers: After each immunity challenge, the winning tribe is given the option of electing one of their own tribemates to attend the opposing tribe's tribal council. The person sent over, known as the Observer, is able to talk to members of the other tribe and cast a vote. However, he will not be under the same danger of being voted out as he have individual immunity. The Observer heads back to his original tribe for the next immunity challenge.
- Double Tribal Council: Both tribes went to separate tribal councils at the final ten. Unlike double tribal councils in other seasons, there was no opportunity for members of either tribe to earn immunity.
