Survivor: Pic Macaya is the second season of Bennett's Survivor series. It began on March 2nd, 2015 and ended on March 25th, 2015. It was the first season in Bennett's Survivor series to feature only fourteen castaways, the smallest group to date. DallasAndrew won the season in a 3-2 vote.
Production
Survivor: Pic Macaya began with sixteen Tengaged users. They were divided into two tribes: Bouyaha, wearing indigo buffs, and Montrouis, wearing maroon buffs. They are named after two rivers of the same name, both located in Haiti. On Day 12, both tribes' remaining members merged into Kouraj, wearing green buffs. Kouraj translates to "strength" in Haitian. The name was chosen by awwsum11. On Day 23, DallasAndrew beat LaFierceBrittany2 in a jury vote of 3-2.
Twists
- Observers: After each immunity challenge, the winning tribe is given the option of electing one of their own tribemates to attend the Tribal Council of the opposing tribe. The person sent over, known as an Observer, is able to talk to members of the other tribe and cast a vote. However, he or she will not be under the same danger of being voted out as he or she will be given individual immunity. The person will stay at the other tribe until Tribal Council ends, then he or she will head back to his or her original tribe for the next immunity challenge.
- Double Tribal Council: At the final ten, both Bouyaha and Montrouis were sent to their own separate Tribal Councils at which one person was voted out from each tribe. Unlike other seasons that featured a double Tribal Council, Pic Macaya was the only instance in which castaways were not presented with an immunity challenge prior in order to earn safety.
