Survivor: Islands of Society is the first season of Bennett's Survivor. It is the longest season to date, lasting 27 days.
The season featured a near-Pagonging of the original Tetiaroa tribe. The last surviving member of Tetiaroa, JakeD, was able to evade elimination by winning a total of five individual immunities. Ultimately, however, under-the-radar DanielzSnooz was able to beat JakeD in a close 4-3 vote due to the jury feeling sour towards JakeD's abrasive gameplay.
Production[]
Survivor: Islands of Society began with sixteen Tengaged users divided into two tribes: Tetiaroa, in green, and Huahine, in yellow. The two tribes were named after islands that belong to the Society Islands. On Day 6, both Tetiaroa and Huahine were reshuffled in a tribe swap. On Day 10, the two tribes merged into Yteicos, in turquoise. The name Yteicos was chosen by Nicole16. It is 'society' spelled backwards.
Twists[]
- Amulets: The best-performing castaway on the winning tribe is given two amulets in which he must distribute to two different members of his tribe. In turn, amulets can be traded for more powerful objects: three for a hidden immunity idol, five for a Tyler Perry idol. Amulets were given out after each immunity challenge up until the final four.
- Double Tribal Council: Both tribes underwent seperate tribal councils at the same time. Individual immunity was offered to one person per tribe prior to it.
- Tribe Swap: At the final twelve, remaining castaways were randomly reshuffled among the two tribes.
